Terence at British film Magazine has been in touch, which is an online magazine about – you guessed it – British Film. It’s a great FREE site, with loads of info and great sections on short film, indie film, filmmaking and interviews including screenwriter fave of mine Julian Fellowes! You can sign up for a newsletter too to alert you to new content. Always good in my book. Oh and did I mention it’s all FREE???? Click here to go to the site.

BBC’s Academy of Crime…

…Drama, that is. Hot off the press from Broadcast and as rumoured by various blogging attendants of various Q&As and courses at the moment:————————————————The BBC is extending its successful drama academy to serials, with a special focus on crime drama. Each year it will take on eight writers with experience on long-running dramas and develop their skills in more prestigious short-running series over a two-week course. Stop: Hammer Time

Since we’ve been talking about genre this week, now seems a good time to mention that Hammer Films’ new venture Beyond The Rave begins today. Not only is this Hammer Films’ first project since The Lady Vanishes, Beyond The Rave is a serial online.
