B2W’s 6 Week Screenplay Programme
From idea to finished draft with script editor Lucy V Hay
You’ve had that idea long enough. Now it’s time to actually write the script – with B2W holding your hand all the way!
Spend Autumn 2026 finally writing the movie or TV screenplay you’ve been talking about for years.
B2W’s 6 Week Screenplay programme is designed for screenwriters who are serious about getting words on the page and finishing a movie or TV pilot screenplay in a supportive, structured environment.
This is not a passive, self-directed course. It’s an intensive, practical writing programme that takes you step-by-step from concept to completed draft.
Whether you write horror, thriller, action, romance, comedy, sci-fi, drama or something completely different, this programme helps you build your screenplay properly from the ground up.
Only 8 writers will be accepted.
What You’ll Do
Over 6 weeks, you will develop:
- Your concept
- Your characters
- Your plot
- Your outline
- Your pages
- Your completed screenplay draft
The goal is simple. By the end of the programme, you will have either:
- A completed screenplay of 30-100 pages
OR
- As much of your script finished as you can realistically manage
Either way, you will leave with substantial material, clear momentum, and a roadmap for completion.
How The Programme Works
WEEK 1 – CONCEPT
We start with the foundation of every successful screenplay: the idea.
You’ll refine your premise, identify the strongest version of your concept, sharpen genre expectations, and ensure your story has the legs to sustain a feature film.
WEEK 2 – CHARACTER
Great scripts are built on compelling characters.
This week focuses on protagonists, antagonists, motivation, conflict, stakes, emotional arcs and relationships. You’ll make sure your characters can genuinely carry a feature-length narrative.
WEEK 3 – PLOTTING & OUTLINE
Now we structure the screenplay.
You’ll develop your story beats and create a working outline of approximately 3-4 pages that maps the entire screenplay from beginning to end.
WEEK 4 – PAGES 1-10
The first ten pages matter enormously.
This week focuses on opening strong, introducing character and tone quickly, establishing conflict, and making readers want to keep turning the page.
WEEKS 5 & 6 – THE DRAFT
Now you write.
The aim during these final two weeks is consistent momentum, targeting approximately 5-10 pages per day depending on your schedule and writing speed.
No perfectionism. No endless tinkering. Just getting the draft DONE.
